He belongs to a primogenial Bangladeshi business family that shouldered the economy after the country’s independence. Beximco Group was initially a raw material exporting company. It started evolving into a conglomerate once the founder mapped its true potential and started diversifying into other sectors. As an experienced businessman of Bangladesh, Salman F Rahman was appointed as the corporate advisor in the Sheikh Hasina cabinet a decade ago. Dhaka, being the financial capital of the country may see a positive shift in commercial and economic sectors if he wins the Dhaka-1 seat.
